Coronavirus update

Gloucestershire County Council are closing Gloucestershire Archives @ the Heritage Hub from Monday 23 March until further notice, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Gloucestershire Family History Society @ the Heritage Hub has also closed their service until further notice.

Gloucestershire Registration copy certificates service is also suspended.

Every effort will be made to continue offering essential services such as access to records for legal reasons.

Look out for updates from the archives on social media and online.  If you have a few minutes you might like to #ExploreYourArchiveAtHome.  You can search our collections online or browse or contribute to our online mapping resource Know Your Place

We look forward to welcoming back our customers, volunteers, partners and friends in due course.

Gloucester Rugby Heritage - The Learning Zone

Gloucester Rugby Heritage Learning Zone provides rugby-themed teaching and learning activities for a variety of subjects. These are linked to the National Curriculum for Key Stages 2 and 3 and comprise lesson plans and supporting teaching resources. They are free to download.

We also work in partnership with Gloucester Rugby to provide tours to support this resource.  These include a chance to go round the Archives and discover how we look after original records, including documents/memorabilia about Gloucester Rugby, and a visit to the Club's Kingsholm Stadium to view the grounds, changing rooms and Gloucester Rugby Heritage displays.  The Archives and Kingsholm Stadium are within easy walking distance of each other.

Please contact us to arrange a visit.  Also, have a look at the risk assessment for a visit to the Archives which you can download from this page.
