The first talk of the day will take place at 13:15 on Saturday 2nd May 2026. It will be delivered by Peter Rochford and cover the life and times of Newent record producer Joe Meek. 

Joe Meek, known as the ‘Telstar Man’, produced hits for Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Diana Dors, Tommy Steele, Frankie Vaughan, the Tornados and many more stars of the Sixties. Please note that copies of Peter’s 2025 biography which will be on sale after his talk at the price of £20 (cash only please).
